Blackthorn was killed on 4 Mirtul 1494 by an unknown bandit working for [[Xintian]], in an effort to weaken security of the parade taking place in honour of Merric Swiftshadow. His body was found during the day by [[Jimmy Tenfingers]], [[Mallevos]] and [[Poppy Bloomshroom]], who all ended up being erroneously arrested for the murders of both Swiftshadow and Blackthorn.
