Once Poppy was old enough, she made the decision to not join the family business and instead live up to the Wildwander clan name by leaving to live as an adventurer. Namfoodle was initially against this idea, however he eventually came around and gave her his blessing. This was partially due to the fact adventuring was clearly in their blood given the Wildwander clan name, but mostly because he ultimately just wanted his daughter to be happy.
Despite her family's established trade, Bloomshroom chose to pursue a life of adventure, honouring her clan's "Wildwander" name. Initially opposed to her decision, her father eventually gave his blessing, recognizing her inherent desire for adventure and her happiness.

Poppy Bloomshroom is a Gnome Ranger and a member of The Pumped-Up Honchos. Her primary roles in the party are as moral compass and generally keeping things on track.

Early Life

Bloomshroom was born and raised in Coralcopper Chase, the daughter of Breena, a sage, and Namfoodle, a gemcutter. She grew up within a large family, including 15 siblings and numerous other relatives. Influenced by her mother's Forest Gnome lineage, Bloomshroom developed a strong affinity for nature from a young age.

Despite her family's established trade, Bloomshroom chose to pursue a life of adventure, honouring her clan's "Wildwander" name. Initially opposed to her decision, her father eventually gave his blessing, recognizing her inherent desire for adventure and her happiness.

Service on the Reckless Princess

Bloomshroom served as First Mate aboard the Reckless Princess, captained by Hermelynn Balfina. The two developed a close bond, and they engaged in numerous adventures focused on combating piracy. During one such encounter, a grateful fairy blessed Bloomshroom's hair, turning it a bright pink.

The crew disbanded on 1 Hammer 1494, when Captain Balfina was appointed Lord of the Tower by The Enclave. Four months later, Bloomshroom received a letter from Lady Balfina requesting assistance.

The Pumped-Up Honchos

Following a failed attempt on her life, Lady Balfina discovered evidence implicating a planned attack on Merric Swiftshadow during a parade in Tarsalmont. She entrusted Bloomshroom with the task of warning Cathán Blackthorn, Swiftshadow's head of security.

Upon arriving in Tarsalmont, Bloomshroom was attacked by a fleeing assailant and then later observed a suspicious tiefling. At Blackthorn's location, she found him dead, along with a number of corpses dressed similarly to her attacker. While pursuing the tiefling, a bomb exploded, rendering her unconscious.

Joining the Honchos

Bloomshroom awoke in a Tarsalmont prison, accused of the murders of Blackthorn and Swiftshadow. She accepted an offer from Varis Nialo to aid his sponsor, in exchange for her freedom, and along with the others was teleported to an unknown island to begin their work...

Reunion with Lady Balfina

The Honchos eventually travelled to Stormlight, where they encountered a traumatized Lady Balfina. Bloomshroom, disappointed by her former captain's cowardice, tried to provide what support and encouragement she could. This support, combined with the efforts of The Honchos, helped Balfina regain her resolve, leading to her involvement in The Bombing of The Black Bear and her defence of Stormlight when the lights of Stormlight went out.
